Ever since I came across The White Sparrow Barn, I never thought that I would be shooting in that very same barn months later. Last summer Coty and I decided we wanted to attend a film workshop together. Being that we do everything together, attending a workshop as a team can be a bit costly. We were so thrilled to see that Lemonade & Lenses was hosting a workshop that was geared toward the fine art photographer. We immediately booked our spots, bought our plane tickets & got so excited to spend the end of our September in Texas. Coty and I both went into the workshop with very different expectations but both of us had such an amazing time both shooting & learning. I love that film has stretched us to want to learn more and has challenged us as artists. Falling in love with photography all over again is an understatement. We were so thrilled to see some of these images on Cottage Hill last week, what an honor to be published in such an amazing blog.
This shoot only made me love Texas even more and we cannot wait to go back. We have already started plans of our own to travel back this fall and hopefully do a styled shoot among other very Texas things. The Magnolia Silos are calling my name.
