Oscars!

I can’t help myself. I actually watched the red carpet so I picked some of my favorites!

59837775Jennifer Lopez in an Armani Privé gown. As for Demi Moore… Coty saw her presenting an award and goes “Does she ever get old?”. Lets all hope that we age like Demi Moore!

kendrickoscarsLots of blush tones! She is wearing an Ellie Saab gown.

mileyI am not the biggest Miley Cyrus fan but she did a fabulous job… or her stylist did! She is rocking the Jenny Packham gown that I just love!

cameron-diaz-gold-dressI absolutely LOVED Cameron Diaz is this glam gown by Oscar de la Renta. This is Hollywood glam at its finest!

59837926So happy that Kristen Cleaned up for the Oscars! I swear she always has a tickle in there throat when she presents! I like the dress but it didn’t look like the dress fit her… what do you think?

After looking over my picks… there is no COLOR! What in the world! Well we’ve got a busy week ahead of us. Visiting family in Indiana and then I’m off to California to visit my Grandma! Pictures to follow!

Trend Alert!

Okay so I am in no way a fashionista… I like to shop at forever21 still! If I could wear flip flops every day I would because that’s my style. I couldn’t help but point out a trend that’s repeating itself lately. I am a victim of reality tv… I love it… all of it! Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Bachelor and Jersey Shore… please forgive me but I love these shows. Anyways, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful women on the Bachelor were sporting some one shoulder dresses. They made me want to get up and go out looking for some one shoulder outfits because they looked all too cute.

0452918891780r__astl_300x400Note Vienna wore this gorgeous gown from Saks Fifth Avenue when she became Jake’s soon to be wife!

a389d1ac55cc10df__profileGia wore this in a nude color by Marley… loved all her outfits!

Allie wore this in Black and its by Michael Kors. She looked stunning as she was announced to be the next Bachelorette!

Tenley’s infamous mini on After the Final Rose…she wore it in green and wow was it short!

If this isn’t a trend then I don’t know what is! All I know is I need to be taken out on a date sporting one of these amazing dresses… well not Vienna’s because this isn’t prom! For more insider fashion… check out this fun website I found! http://www.possessionista.com/

bl-blogJen, thank you so much for asking me to photograph your shop. I have to say that next time I’m there, I need to try on some dress so I can personally tell my brides how amazing they are ;)

Thank you again Jen! Cannot wait to do more business with you!

Bella Laccio

A couple months ago my mom was driving through downtown Westerville and spotted a new shop coming in! She immediate picked up the phone and said “Ash, there is a bridal shop coming in, you have to call her!” So I did! Jen was still under construction at the time so later in January I finally met the owner of Bella Laccio… Jen Romey! She has quite the cute little shop there, and if you’re looking for that boutique experience when shopping for your wedding dress, definitely stop by Bella Laccio. I love that she greets you with a smile from the moment you walk in the door and you’re the only person in the world she wants to help at that moment. She has 4 amazing designers in her shop and all of them are so unique. This weekend she is having a trunk show for Matthew Christopher and you have seen some of his ads in your own Bride Magazine because they are some of the best and most creative ads I’ve ever seen. So if you’re still looking for THE DRESS and you haven’t quite found it yet, check out Bella Laccio in uptown Westerville, Jen will be happy to meet with you and help you find the dress you’ve been dreaming of! Chaos

21974_514259444307_151600047_30559778_7745653_n

“Where there is chaos there cannot be peace” Kim Wright

So we are in the midst of launching some new things for the company, painting our walls and kitchen cabinets in our home, putting down wood floors and then fixing up the studio. I guess you could say its a little chaotic. Wasn’t I supposed to be on a long vacation during these couple months off? Ha! Anyways, everything in our living room and dining area is pushed to the middle of the room… its causing me to take a break and check facebook and well blog! This week seemed to have some ups and downs and a little bit of a roller coaster ride! Florida could not come any quicker!

Two songs for the day: “What do I know of Holy” Addison Road & “Whatever you’re doing” Sanctus Real

CARA CARA

oranges-020

New sweet snack obsession.  Cara Cara Pink Navel Oranges. I went out to lunch with my mom and she had one in her purse, along with carrots and probably spray butter. I usually hate oranges so I did not even think to try it. My friend Karla Banks with Banks Photography and I went to Ikea the other day so I could pick up a new desk for our office. She had heard about this place called Jungle Jim’s… apparently it was Trader Joe’s on steroids… it was enormous! I am a cheese lover and well they had every cheese imaginable! So they had little stations of samples which is my favorite, its why I love Costco and they were serving Cara Cara oranges. Oh my gosh, why I didn’t buy a dozen right then and there is beyond me. You know there isn’t much going on in our world if I’m talking about oranges. I can honestly say I have hardly ever used our macro lens, its the one where we take some pretty awesome ring shots, its also Coty’s job. So I decided I’d take a couple of the orange and I don’t know why I haven’t used this before. I have this idea to take pictures of different fruits up close and then put a collage in our kitchen… so cute!

My parents got me a shootsac for my birthday and I could have squealed. I immediately showed Coty because he usually a victim of holding my camera/lens/camera bag so he at least should see what he might be carrying! I got it in the mail today with a little photography tip that I have to share! Tip No. 19 from Jessica Claire Ask for Forgiveness, Not Permission. This made me laugh because I am not one to break the rules but from time to time I will sacrifice getting yelled at for a great picture moment. Amy and Steve are a great example! They are huge buckeye fans and the gate just happened to be open and there just happened to be band members coming out of the shoe to help us get in… it was good times! Another moment was me in the fountain at Creekside in Gahanna. Bethany and Curt’s wedding party was just too large so there was not other way to capture that moment than to get INTO the fountain. What I didn’t expect was for it to be deeper than I thought and a lot colder! I love taking risks, just as long as someone doesn’t damage my camera or I get arrested! Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Love you all! 6611_126218785165_51624390165_3582397_4213672_n

Valentines Day

So my Dad’s cousin Kathy and her husband Brian recently gave their testimony at their church in Oklahoma. I had heard a little of their testimony before but after hearing it again and being married myself, I found myself taking notes. I really wanted to share it with you all that if you have a moment at home by the computer and you’re just surfing the web maybe tune into Kathy & Brian’s testimony. You won’t be disappointed! http://skylineokc.podbean.com/

Happy Birthday… TO ME!

So Coty never gets on here… I don’t even think he knows I blog so much. Maybe we should keep that to ourselves, no? Anyways yesterday I turned 26! As a kid you think about turning 16, 18, 21 but never 26. I already feel a little closer to 30 which is not a bad thing… definitely good! I already feel like this will be a fabulous year and I have so much to be thankful for already! So I won’t ramble on too much… here are some pictures from my birthday, sadly no photos of Coty and I. What the heck?!

20232_1210554510676_1433130101_30515423_1585091_nMom didn’t have a 6 so she turned the 9 upside down… ghetto fabulous mom… ghetto fabulous :)

SNOWED IN AGAIN!

I don’t know about you but I’m really ready for spring! I miss being able to open all my windows and feel the warm air flow through the house. This snow is pretty and all but seriously… its a bit much! I’m hoping it stops soon so I can load the dogs up and go to the park and take some pictures! I’m getting trigger happy and sick of my house. You’d think us being stuck in the house all this time we’d have our walls painted and the new floors put in… correction… not finished! I was sick 2 weeks ago and Coty was sick all last week… our house is the last thing on our minds! Finally finished up some albums and we’re putting another order in this week. It feels refreshing to finish up 2009 products! Just a couple more albums and slide shows to finish and we’ll be good to relax!

Anyways, there isn’t much to update you one. In the next couple weeks we’ll have some fun things to share. So today I’m just going to leave you with a couple pictures.

snowed in!

So I guess when we went to the grocery on Thursday and it was completely packed and the lines were the longest I’ve ever seen them… that should have been an indication that we’d be getting a pretty big snow storm! Sure enough with 12 plus inches of snow later… we were snowed in. Worst part was I missed my Dad’s birthday. Stupid snow. So I got a little bored and took some pictures of the dogs. Can you blame me? My dogs are so cute. I have found out that the lighting in my bedroom is the best lighting in the world and I cannot wait to have babies and photograph them in there. I can settle with a niece for now. She’s going to have a million pictures taken of her before she’s even a year old! She won’t know what I look like without a camera! Anyways, we finally got out of the snow and went to my parents so I could wish him a Happy Birthday. It was nice to see him since he had been traveling for a couple weeks.

Please keep my Grandma Rosanna in your prayers. The latest news from the Doctor was not good but we confident that God has a plan, a plan bigger then all of us. I am very fortunate to know all my Grandparents and Great Grandparents, and I am so thankful God has given me that oppurtunity that a lot of people I know do not get. Okay so I’ll stop rambling. Here are some pictures!
