Happy Mother’s Day!

Of course Mother’s day make me think about the moment I became a mother. Celebrating what changed my life forever, motherhood. I love being Molly’s mom and I love that as I type I making a person:)I’m thankful for a wonderful Mother & friend, she’s quite amazing. My grandma isn’t your ordinary grandma, she’s close to us all and loves abundantly. I’m so thankful Molly gets to know both her grandma {gigi} and great grandma {nana}. She will know about her Grandma Rosanna because I’ll tell her stories that she told me. She left quite a legacy that will live in us all.

Happy Mother’s Day!

McCoy Family {portrait}

I’ve gotten a chance to get to know the McCoy family through our grace group at church. I’m amazed at the mom Amy is and what a sweet heart she has for her kids at home and her kids she teaches. Kyle owns Pickups Plus Cars with his family in Lewis Center, he and I actually went to school together. Coty and I are all about getting business from friends because well that’s how we make it. So we go tour windows tinted there and oh my goodness, love it. I have wanted our windows tinted for some time because of Molly, anything to keep the baby sleeping right? My dad has gone there for years and now I know why. They do an amazing job there and you’re working with a great family as well. I’m all about sending business to my good friends! I loved shooting this family’s portrait, probably because their own backyard was our backdrop and its a photographers dream! Did I mention we had chickens to entertain us? Chickens! There is a picture of Ella holding the chicken and her sister is in the background pouting… hilarious. I love letting kids be kids in photos, beats going to a stuffy studio and making them fold their hands and smile. It was fun to let them run around, blow on dandelions and climb trees, you get to see the kids for who they are. Here is their sweet family session!

Blessings

I always say this but God does always provide. The moment this self employed wedding photographer and her self employed wedding photographer husband found out child #2 was on the way… joy and fear kick in. Joy for the amazing miracle we’re having and fear that well… business. Every year is different and every year we go into it thanking God for all the blessings. I’m so thankful that as of right now for 2012 we are pretty much booked, as in maybe one or two dates we could fill but if they don’t get filled we’re good. As for 2013 we already have 8 weddings booked, we’re so ahead of schedule in booking I literally am in tears because God always provides. I sorta laugh at the fact that we’re booking weddings in January, March, April because we hardly ever book weddings then. God obviously knows with a baby we need a little more coming in during those off season days. I’m thankful its not a ton of weddings so I’m able to stay home and snuggle with the new little one but I’ll be excited to pick up a camera. Those brides are lucky, I’ll be itching to shoot! I’m just feeling very blessed this morning.

On a side note… I am 9 weeks pregnant today! Our little one is the size of a grape! Blessings.
