I love Father’s day and Mother’s day, I’ve always looked forward to one day celebrating this day myself. Of course I look forward to a gift or two but it sends me so much joy to think of Coty being a Father. As my dad opened his gift from my sister, he pulled out a khaki colored had that said #1 Grandpa and he put it on and stopped for a second and said “I suddenly feel like my Dad.” Of course that made me realize that my Dad was no longer just my Dad, he was a Grandpa now. I then looked to my husband and thought to myself, this time next year he’ll be opening up his own gifts from our son or daughter! I love these moments in my life right now, I’m soaking them all in and cherishing every bit of it.

So yes, we’re pregnant! We actually found out the day before my sister had her baby. So I had 24 hours to celebrate before witnessing a live birth myself… talk about a reality check right?! We’ve been to the doctor already and heard our baby’s heartbeat and I cannot begin to tell you all the feeling that came over Coty and I. I have never felt that close to my husband to this baby growing inside me… it was unbelievable. My world has been turned upside down completely! Everything from exercise, work, eating and all my planning I love to do has changed. We are due January 11, 2011!! Yes 1-11-11!! I love the date, you won’t be able to forget it! We’re so very excited about our little surprise and cannot wait to find out if its a boy or girl! We’ll keep everyone updated with some “belly” pics when that starts arriving! So happy Father’s Day to all the Daddy’s out there, especially mine!
