Patience (or forbearing) is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties.

If you are in need of a lesson on patience, put an offer on a beautiful short sale home. I cannot begin what kind of patience I’ve learned in this process. Although I recently told my friend Kristin that I’d rather learn this lesson by waiting for a great pair of jeans to go on sale. We first started this “moving” process at the beginning of the year. In March we put the house up for sale and a month later we found out we were pregnant. I felt like the whole ordeal was a ticking time bomb. After dozens of showings, a miscarriage, an offer that didn’t go through we consulted our very wonderful loan agent and found out we were good to lease our home out. We then found out about the very long drawn out process of short sales. Our realtor Stephanie {who is amazing}, sent us a small list of “dream” homes that were short sales. The night she sent me the list was the night we found out the house we really liked was not in our plans. I opened up this email and I immediately swooned. The jack and jill bathrooms sort of made me wanna cry. Okay so I won’t go into huge details but here we are months later, still waiting. I then realized how perfect God’s plan in. First off, why would I have wanted to move in OCTOBER? Remember how I like to call this month Crytober? Lets be honest, God’s plan is way better then my impatient heart. Here I am months later realizing that yes I am a bit impatient but its so much better to be still and wait on God to open up doors.  Needless to say, its been a crazy couple months.

I hope to share our photos of Colorado next month. I think my clients would hate me if I edited those photos before I edited their session from the beginning of October. I have a stack of 20 discs going out this week… the post office knows us by name. We’ve had so many gorgeous weddings lately and I can’t wait to share them all with you!
