When Jenna first emailed me about her wedding she was only inquiring for an engagement session in Columbus. She was in the midst of planning her destination wedding in Jamaica and didn’t realize that photographers like myself LOVE traveling with our couples. So in normal Ashley fashion I asked if she was interested in us shooting her destination wedding and the rest was history. Months later she told me she was changing locations and the wedding date would be in January in Mexico. The best perk about changing locations was that she was able to travel so much in planning the wedding. In the end they planned a wedding for San Jose del Cabo, Mexico at Cabo Surf Hotel. It was incredible. Coty and I flew in a day early to enjoy some sunshine in January and I was immediately smitten with the fresh guacamole, colorful town and its fresh salty breeze from the ocean. I could see why Jenna & Chuck loved it so much there, it was gorgeous. Their wedding was on a beautiful day and you could see whales off in the distance from the Bridal suite as she got ready. I loved how so many of their friends and family made the trip. Everywhere from California, London, Texas and of course Ohio, they all came to celebrate the happy couple. Even Jenna’s Grandmother made the trip and she looked beautiful, I could tell how grateful they all were that she came.
One of our favorite things about destination weddings is that our couples invest in more than just our regular package but they invest in our travel to be there, its such an honor that they trust us with these memories and desire for us to be there. We loved every minute of Cabo and we cannot wait to go back. You can also see this beautiful wedding on Destination I Do!
