“God blessed the broken road, that lead me straight to you”
I’ll first start off by saying I really really love this couple. I always knew deep down that they’d get hitched one day I just didn’t know we’d be shooting the wedding. I was looking forward to their wedding for 10 long months, knowing every image on my camera was going to be stunning. What I didn’t know was that God was going to throw my life for a very big loop. The night before the wedding, right after we arrived in Indiana, our sweet baby went home to be with Jesus. I was just 13 weeks along. I always knew weddings were different. You couldn’t just call in sick, or go in late after the ibuprofen started to kick in… but what I didn’t know is that shooting a wedding would probably be some of my saving grace the day after the miscarriage. I think I baffled a few minds saying I was shooting the next day. The moment I picked up that camera it was as if I wasn’t grieving. I wasn’t a mother who had just lost her baby. I was Lindsey & Andrew’s wedding photographer. I couldn’t be more thankful that it was their wedding the next day because like I always knew, every photo was beautiful. It was a perfectly sunny day in Indiana for this Midwest, country loving, wrangler driving couple. I loved her antique details that were hand picked by the bride herself. Her colors were soft and flattering on everyone. Loving the gray suits this year! I’ve always said the ADD mind is a great one for a photographer because the old Mill we passed that we randomly stopped at, ended up being a perfect backdrop for some photos. Many thanks go to Trent Miles who helped us shoot that day. Thankful for talented local friends with amazing photography skills!
Coty & I wish you both many blessings on your marriage. We were privelaged to be a part of your wedding day!
