Laurdon, as I like to call them. 🙂 Okay so this is the “back story” of us four. Last year I got an email from a sweet Indiana girl asking for information and if we travel. She told me she fell in love with our photos and thought why not ask if they travel! Well little did she know her fiance’ Jordan and my husband Coty went to high school together, played baseball together, graduated together and were actually great friends while in school! I guess she was showing Jordan our site and he goes “I know him!” Isn’t it a small world? Well we did their e-session in October while shooting Trent & Abby’s wedding and I very quickly decided she was my “wedding sister”. I have declared this title on many of my brides and not to brag but its a good title to get! 🙂 Anyways, she is a traditional bride with some modern twists and wants nothing more then to have fabulous photos on her wedding day. So Memorial weekend came upon us and as we arrived at the church both Lauren and Jordan were very chill, just hanging out with their wedding party. They decided on a first look and since she is blessed with two dads she decided to have her step-dad walk her down the aisle for her first look and her real dad walk her down the aisle during the ceremony. It was a great way to honor them both as they’ve both been a huge part of her life. Have I mentioned before that I LOVE first looks? Well I do! So they had their moment and then we headed off to Notre Dame for some more photos… GO IRISH!
They could not have been blessed with a more beautiful day, especially with all the crazy storms we’ve been having. It was as if every day leading up to the wedding had rain and then Saturday there was blue skies… well at least until AFTER we took the photos. We had an amazing time at Notre Dame for photos, I was soaking it in because the campus is gorgeous and I know how much they love their Irish. We then stopped at a random barn because what wedding is not complete without a barn photos? Especially in Indiana! I (Ashley) headed home after the ceremony and our good friend and fellow photographer Trent Miles helped Coty out at the reception which I hear was amazing. I didn’t leave until got to snap some pictures of the cute details Lauren had for the reception… loved all the monogram details everywhere! I hear the best man speech was pretty awesome. What always gets me is when Coty comes home to shoot these Indiana weddings, people see him and don’t recognize him because of his shaved head! Once they find out its COTY HENRY they get a kick out of seeing him work his magic with the camera. I think they all assumed he married a girl from Ohio and became a police officer… funny how God has different plans for us. Well anyways, we had an amazing time shooting this wedding. It was an honor to be a part of it, see these two become one, such a sweet little love story they have! Blessings to you both!
