On Monday morning around 11 something my mom and I were chatting on facebook. We were private celebrating something and talking about how it was Audi’s due date. Out of nowhere she goes “Audi’s water just broke” of course I thought she was kidding… she was not! I immediately jumped in the shower, put on my outfit that I designated for this day (yes I bought an outfit for this day do not judge me) and I proceeded to the hospital. Coty kept asking me how long it would be and at this point, only God knew when she would have this baby! The fact that she went into labor on her due date was hilarious, only 3% of women have their babies on their actual DD! After she was admitted and contractions got a little stronger she decided to go ahead with the epidural. By now it was 5:00 something and everyone was starting to get hungry. She was progressing about a centimeter and a half every hour so we figured by 10:00 she would be ready to go! So I left with my Grandma Pat and her husband Randy to grab some dinner, for some reason Max & Ermas was the choice of the evening. I had just ordered my food and I get a text message… SHE’S 10 CENTIMETERS GET BACK TO THE HOSPITAL!!!!! Why at that moment I decided to have a nice sit down dinner is beyond me! My brother picked me up and we were literally racing back up to the room. By the time the midwife came she was ready to start pushing. I won’t go into more detail but I will say this, I will never look at my sister the same. She was absolutely amazing in that room, she was calm, collected and so focused… God is so so good! What I witnessed was so beyond words… its truly a miracle! Of course I took pictures of everything… I mean everything! I won’t share all those photos but I will share some photos of the day my little sister became a Mommy, the day my mom became a gigi, my dad became a papa, I became and AUNT, my brother became an uncle… I can’t begin to tell you how amazing it was. Here are some pictures…
I love how my dad is trying to read the monitor… such a dad!
