I love first looks. The moment a groom sees his bride for the first time sometimes takes my breath away. There is a look on his face that you’ll only see a few times in his life and I love that we get to capture it. There is another first look that is sometimes just as important, its for a father to see his daughter all dressed in white for the first time. A Father and Bride’s first look is one of my favorite moments to capture on a wedding day. I try not to think about Coty and Molly when I’m photographing a father daughter first look because I just cannot hold back the tears. Its such an emotional day for parents as they give their daughter away but also to gain a son-in-law, its truly so sweet. There have been so many beautiful first looks with some dad’s so I had to share in honor of Father’s Day!

I love getting to be a part of our couple’s first moments together but I also love seeing parents walk their kids through their wedding day. Becoming parents changed everything for Coty and I. Every moment we saw in front of our cameras was different and it made us better wedding photographers. We are so blessed with these precious lives we get to raise and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m lucky to call my business partner my partner in life. Coty is such an amazing husband but an even better Dad. For a man who grew up without an earthly father himself, he’s proved many statistics wrong. He’s caring, thoughtful, attentive, funny, hands on and leading these kids the way Christ would want them to be led. I’m so grateful to be married to a man who calls on God to be the center of our world. Our kids are so lucky to call Coty their dad. Of course I cannot end the post without sharing some photos of Coty. I went way back to 2010 so you’ll see a modge podge of photos!
