For the longest time, Taylor Mansion in Columbus has been one of our favorite places to shoot. Its eclectic, unique, historical and we get the best couples there. Sarah & Joe stole our hearts one evening at Easton when we met them after they got off work. They both are crazy talented and work at Abercrombie and we couldn’t help but want to know them. Their engagement session was nothing short of amazing and gave us the perfect preview to their wedding day. Every day was personal and probably handmade. I didn’t know how talented they truly were until I found out that Sarah was making her own wedding gown. I had never had a bride do this and my gosh, it was beautiful. Simple yet modern lines and fit her perfect. While slipping on the gown her mother sewed her into the gown and from the chatter in the room I heard them say that this was tradition, to be sewed into your wedding gown. Every sign was handmade, the boxes that the flowers were on were made by hand, in fact I was graciously given on and it sits on my desk and its gorgeous. I loved their sweet vows, I loved seeing Joe just swoon over his bride and the whole night was awesome. We loved being a part of their special day, can’t wait to see them start a family and live happily ever after.
This moment. I may have cried a little bit. With Sarah being the most talented bride I’ve ever met, I wanted to gift her with something to remember this day. I somehow found out that I was aquainted with her old boss Laurie Duncan who is also equally talented artist. She does these amazing illustrations and sketches and I thought it would be AMAZING if she did one of Sarah in her gown. Like every true fashion designer, she needs a photo of her accomplishment. It turned out amazing and I love that she has this forever.
