“A trip of a lifetime” as my mother kept calling it.
Just looking at these pictures makes my heart melt. Molly looks so small here, and she has no hair. I’m glad she’s gotten more hair now. We started planning this trip in the winter. We knew we wanted to go somewhere but we didn’t know where. We had a wedding cancel and we decided not to fill the date and go on a vacation. We were going with or without my family because I was determined to have my toes in the sand this wedding season. We don’t normally plan anything between the months of May and November because of weddings. This year we’re heading south in just a couple weeks… right before the storm we like to call wedding season hits. My parents rented this unbelievable beach home in Emerald Isle and from the moment we pulled in the drive, we were in heaven. My family hadn’t all been together like this since my Senior year of high school when we went to Hawaii. So to my mom and dad, this truly was a trip of a lifetime. You just don’t know when the next you’ll get the whole family together like this. We know first hand how precious life can be and we were so thankful to be able to go on this trip. We had such a great time seeing Molly fall in love with the pool, she’s our little fish. My niece Kinsley loved the beach and all the shells. I haven’t laughed that hard while playing games in years, such great times. Of course I took some photos. I have a thing for a close up shot of palm trees. I remember taking this psych class where they had us draw a tree, a person & a home. My tree was always a palm tree and my professor admitted there was nothing in the book about the meaning of me drawing a palm tree… I probably just liked the beach. It was terribly windy the first several days there so going out on the water was almost dangerous. I definitely got knocked out by a wave and panicked a little… I’m not that daring anymore.
Anyways, this is for those who can’t make it to the beach this spring break. Live a little through our photos.
Great set of pictures! I’m just browsing around learning how to get some great shots – glad I ran across your site. Thanks for sharing!
