Coty and I first met Emily and Jules at the wedding of Nate and Maria back in 2008! Emily donned this cute black dress that I just loved but being Maria’s sister I didn’t expect anything less then fabulous at this wedding. I didn’t meet Jules until after the ceremony and at first he was only known as the groomsmen who threw up before the ceremony, I later found out he was Emily’s boyfriend. They rocked the reception with their personal handshake that involved pitching a ball and hitting it out of the “park”. Before we left the wedding I told Emily that if they ever decided to get married, they better call us! A year later it was time for Amy and Steve’s wedding and this time it was Jules’ brother getting married and Emily was again a bridesmaid. I had gotten to know Amy and Steve through emails and at their engagement session, we immediately clicked and I was excited to once again be around familiar faces. Only this time I told Jules he better call us when he decides to pop the question to Emily! Sure enough I got an email from Emily in August saying they were finally engaged and they wanted us to share the day with them. I was beyond excited and Coty shared the same feeling because we just loved both families so much! So here we were last weekend getting to see both the Grasso side and the Mitolo side get married. I loved seeing all of Emily and Maria’s aunts that make those incredible treats… oh yum! It was especially nice seeing Maria, Nate, Steve and Amy and now their son Cameron, what a blessing to be there. There wedding was right in the middle of weeks of rain, of course everyday leading up to the big day it said 80% chance of rain… God heard our prayers and no run until right when the reception started! The weather was perfect, the clouds were perfect and the bride and groom were ready to get married. Emily donned a gorgeous J.Crew dress that from the moment I saw it, it was EXACTLY what I pictured her in. As she flowed in her gown to see Jules for the first time it gave me chills because their day was finally here. I wish I could get to know all my couples like this because it makes the day so much more exciting and memorable. They got married in Crab Apple Allée which was so picturesque. The exposed beams and windows all around was like bringing the outside in, it was just beautiful. Anyways, I’ll let their pictures speak for themselves. We had an amazing time. While Coty and I ate dinner he was like “you almost wish Emily and Jules and one more brother or sister… so we could shoot their wedding too” Sorta made me sad because I wished the same thing! So cousins and friends… call us! 🙂
The bride and the wedding were beautiful and I was happy to be a part of it. Oh, yes the groom was cute too.
