I can’t tell you how many times I’ve reserved myself because I’m too busy, I’ve got enough responsibility on my plate already or maybe someone is already doing something similar. To be quite honest, I’m tired of getting so many ideas and just writing them down. I wanna do something with my ideas, my dreams, my goals. So that is it. Jasmine Star is not the only photographer out there doing something else. I may not be the best photographer in Columbus but I can tell you one thing, I love weddings. So from here on out, I’m stepping out and doing things I’m scared of doing but I will no longer go to bed thinking “what if I would have just tried it” ya know?

Today marks our first ever Best Of Contest! We have had a huge turnout of portraits, engagements and weddings so we wanted to give back a little by having some fun with their photos! Ashley & Trent {Wedding}

I just remember it being a beautiful day for an October wedding. It was a bit windy but everyone was okay with taking pics outside. I loved the color and locations Ashley & Trent chose, such character and history to both. The ceremony was held at First United Methodist Church in Greenfield and it was built in 1912. The reception was at The Madison on Paint in Chillicothe, which was an old Post Office and it was so awesome. I loved the character of the building and all its restoration done in there. Coty and I had such a great time shooting your wedding, not to mention seeing that the Photo Couch was a huge hit! You two better call us when you start having kids!

Alissa & Austin {Wedding}

I’ve got one word for this wedding… fabulous. Okay maybe two words, fabulous & amazing. I sorta fell in love with Allissa when she sat in my studio telling me details of her wedding, her life and Austin. She would light up when she spoke of Austin, which spoke volumes about their relationship.During the reception her friend had made a slideshow of their lives before they were Alissa & Austin and together and it was so amazing to see their lives on screen. At the end of the slideshow as a tribute to her late brother, they showed a photo of him and said to do the one thing he’d wanna do… and that was DANCE. I and I think everyone else was overcome with emotion and close friends and family got on their feet and rocked out just as her brother would. Talk about amazing night. Every detail was thought out, every song was perfect and Alissa looked stunning.

Thank you so much for having us be a part of your beautiful day. We enjoyed every minute of it! Congrats you two!

Jay & Lori got married on one of the most gorgeous October day’s I’ve seen in a long time. I could have taken pictures all night if they let me because it was just perfect. They had their intimate wedding at the Kelton House and as I got to know the couple it truly was a perfect place for the two of them. I think I made them look more lovey-dovey in the photos then they usually are every day but I think deep down they wanna be like this all the time… right guys? Thanks for letting me be a part of your beautiful day, it was a pleasure being there!
